From the comments we received on the ballots, many of your souls were wounded that Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo was not nominated for this category. I share your pain - but let me explain.

You see, every year when it comes time for the staff to list their nominations for the AMA, I have one giant foot of a rule they must abide by: each and every nomination must be from a movie that we've already reviewed on the site. Unfortunately, every year the AMA Nomination Day coincides with Glue Sniffing Day, and the staff promptly nominates movies that MRFH has never sullied with its touch. So I end up being pretty much the only person following my own rule, a kingdom of one. And if it was up to me, the Electric Boogaloo would have been the only nomination on the ballot. For every category.

But let's get past that to the other surprise of the "Best Sequel Title" category, which is... we have a tie! Out of 268 votes received, both Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly each garnered 21.4% of the votes. GBU's name has entrenched itself into popular lore (I think Kyle uses that title to refer to his unmentionables), and JF2 is pure awesome. Not to mention that its title sounds suspiciously like the original name for MRFH, Revenge of the Mutant Reviewers From Hell VIII.

Die Hard 2: Die Harder (18.1%) proves that repeating your title and adding -er to it will make the quality of life 50% better. Mutant Reviewers 2: Mutant Harder comes to a movie theater this spring.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze gathered a respectable 11.3% of the remaining votes (sheesh, that's a long title!), while the rest of the nominations wallowed in single-digit country: Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (9.7%), Addams Family Values (8.5%), 28 Weeks Later (6.5%), Ocean's Twelve (1.6%) and Resident Evil: Apocalypse (1.6%).
