The Mutant
Vol 2 Issue 7 The Mutant Meter

TIME FOR CHANGE, BUT JUST A BIT ************************************

Discontent with merely being the #1 Cult Movie Reviews Page (in our ZIP
code), we at the MRFH have been tinkering with the formula a bit and
developed something we think you'll like.

It's called the Mutant Meter™, and it is now incorporated into all of our
80+ reviews. What is the Mutant Meter™? Well, instead of rating the
movie specifically (we leave that up to each reviewer/correspondant),
we're taking a look at a few specific elements of each of these movies to
help give you a better idea of what it is you're renting.

The Mutant Meter™ is comprised of five categories (rated 0 to 5 in each):

CULT: This measures how "cultish" of a movie this is. Factors that go
into this include its rarity, its specific fan base, its popularity, and
just how off the track it is. We admit that we do review some more
"mainstream" films at the MRFH, and this will give you an idea of how
hardcore cult a movie really is.

QUOTES: We all love quotable movies, so this measures how many good quotes
you'll find in this film. A high rating, and you should be quoting from
        it constantly.

OFFENSIVENESS: The MRFH admits that a number of the films we cover contain
some elements that are pretty offensive (language, sex, gore). To help
become a little more ethically involved with our readers, we offer this
rating to warn you if a film is going to be really bad (like,
don't-watch-with-mom-and-dad bad). A rating over 2 shouldn't be seen by
        kids.

BIZARRE: A catch-all category, this just really measures how un-normal the
film is. If it's something that's never been done before (singing
cockroaches), it'll get a high rating here.

REWATCHABILITY: Some films you could watch every day, and some perhaps
only once in your lifetime (no matter how good it is). This scale
measures how frequently this movie can be watched without getting old (a
high rating = every week; low rating = every few years).

TIME TO TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE ***************************************
