MRFH Title Banners

June 2005's title banner. From my favorite comedy, PCU (of course). It's not up close and personal with the characters, but a nice bright and somewhat lazy scene for us to enjoy. (This month featured a movie from the 90's)

July 2005's title banner. Freddy vs. Jason needed some love, and this was the best (although dark) picture I could find of the two together. I'm not utterly pleased with this one, but it's doable. (This month featured a movie from the 2000's)

August 2005's title banner. Monty Python and the Holy Grail! I really like this one. Instead of taking one big still from the film, I went with two separate elements: Sir Not-In-This-Film, and the cartoon of the cave monster. I think it works! (This month featured a movie from the pre-80's)

September 2005's title banner. Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters! It was neat finding the Ghostbusters font and using it here (with the nifty "O" logo as well). I had to fudge a bit on the graphic on the right to make room for the lettering, just cut 'n pasting in a random section of building that sort of fit. (This month featured a movie from the 80's)

October 2005's title banner. Clerks. Not the most cheerful banner in the world (black & white never is), but the "I assure you, we're open!" sign is iconic of Clerks and Kevin Smith's Jersey Trilogy, so there ya go. (This month featured a movie from the 90's)

November 2005's title banner. Corpse Bride. Possibly my most favorite banner of the year... I just love the look of the film, and the dark blues and trees were just made to be a great title banner. (This month featured a movie from the 2000's).

December 2005's title banner. Alien. Okay, so it's not Christmas-y, but it's HARD to find pre-80's pictures for these banners. This month I picked the iconic alien ship that the Nostromo discovers. Good banner, although I couldn't help the fade-to-black on the right side which makes it look like the banner ends prematurely. (This month featured a movie from the 70's).

January 2006's title banner. UHF. You win some, you lose some. I had a very hard time finding a proper picture from UHF, and while this works... I'm just somewhat displeased with it. I think it's too "busy", color-wise. Oh well, I could be wrong. (This month featured a movie from the 80's).

February 2006's title banner. Office Space. Better than January, but still off... I tried to get Milton trapped in his cubicle hell here, but nothing in this sparked it for me. Sorry! (This month featured a movie from the 90's).

March 2006's title banner. Return of the King. Okay, now we're getting better for the year, with this funky banner from ROTK. I used the LOTR font for the title, and the burning city of Minas Tirith as the background. Very pleased with the look and colors. (This month featured a movie from the 2000's).
